During the various lockdowns, Dan worked remotely with Casapoku to help create her dream bathrooms. Casapoku’s Instagram account, @Building_Casapoku has been a well documented renovation project in North Leeds and they finally moved into their home earlier in the year.
We were lucky enough to visit ‘Casa Poku’ before they moved in to photograph their finished bathrooms. It’s not often we see bathrooms looking so fresh!
What made you decide to start this project?
We have always wanted to build our own house and have always watched anything to do with home renovations and house design. We were thrilled when we actually had the opportunity to be able to build our own home.
Where did you draw your inspiration from?
I drew inspiration from Grand Designs, Home Renovating magazines, Pinterest and specific you tube channels.
What was the most challenging part of the process?
I really did not find anything challenging, I was able to picture things quickly and had a pretty clear vision from the start. Dan was perfect at helping me bring my vision to life by showing me the bathroom designs in a 3D design software.
What do you love most about your bathroom?
I love everything, especially the huge onyx effect tiles!
How did you find the process from start to finish?
I found the process exciting, I loved the fact that I was able to visit the build frequently and record the process. What helped enormously was the ability to be able to buy everything from the same place; this was really important, especially when I was trying to find the hardware for the tiles and required a bespoke shower screen for the attic.
How does the end result make you feel?
I felt proud of what we were able to achieve, I would not change anything if I was to do it again 😊
