A flawless design project showcasing contemporary spa-inspired bathrooms that would not feel out of place in a boutique hotel. Playing with the same tiles using colours from contrasting palettes gave each bathroom a completely unique look.

What made you decide to start this project?
We wanted to update and modernise the bathrooms as the house was built in 2006.
Where did you draw your inspiration from?
We both took ideas from online magazines and wanted a sleek, contemporary style. When we visited Morland bathrooms and met Dan, we told him we wanted the end result to have an air of exclusivity – like a boutique hotel. He brought his ideas including sample tiles that suited our colour. It all helped to enhance our design and draw it all together.
What was the most challenging part of the process?
David actually installed the bathrooms himself!
What is your favourite element of your bathroom?
The bath. We knocked out a wall just to be able to fit it in.
How did you find the process from start to finish?
David first used Morland Bathrooms 14 years ago and even though the products are expensive we appreciate the quality and the service is second to none. There were hiccups along the way – it wasn’t Morland’s fault but they handled the problems for us.The design process helped us so much. Seeing the design in pictures and allowing us to visualise the end result before we committed was invaluable. We were able to make the best use of the space available and we’re just so delighted with the main bathroom. We think it’s stunning.
How does the end result make you feel?
It’s just breathtaking. Stunning. It’s really hit the mark and Morlands just took the stress away with such prompt, efficient and friendly service.

Discussing Rita and David’s aspirations for their project was key in conceptualising their design brief. It was remarkable how the use of colour enabled us to create completely contrasting spaces yet with a cohesive feel.
